Outreach - International
The team collected $14,000 worth of FLL parts from schools and teams in MA and donated the to the underserved schools in Rwanda, Morocco, and Nigeria in 2023 when travelling to Morocco. The donated parts helped form five FLL teams in these countries. Leveraging remote communication technologies, we keep regular contact with these teams, provide mentorship and support, and continue to be part of their journey.
We have mentored the FLL team Block Pythons from College Du Christ-Roi at Rwanda since the beginning of 2023 and helped the team grow to the National Champion in 2024. The team was recognized by the President of Rwanda and earned a spot to the World Championship at Houston.
We also helped the school start one of the first FTC teams in Rwanda. They are challenged by lack of resources but their passion to STEM always inspires us to do more to benefit the global FIRST community.
“I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Lazer Robotics for their incredible generosity and unwavering support. Their contribution played a pivotal role in our success at the international competition held in Morocco, where we were honored with an award. Lazer Robotics not only provided us with cutting-edge robotics materials but also demonstrated a true commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in STEM education. Their donation, valued at more than 4000 USD, significantly enhanced our capabilities and allowed us to push the boundaries of our project. We are truly grateful for Lazer Robotics' belief in our vision and their dedication to empowering the next generation of innovators. Their support has not only impacted our team but has also left a lasting impression on the broader robotics community. Thank you, Lazer Robotics, for being a beacon of inspiration and for making a meaningful difference in our journey to success”! - Jeremie Habumugisha, FLL and FTC coach at College du Christ Roi, Rwanda
We helped two teams from the public schools at the remote areas of Morocco - Team Dreamers from Sidi Bennour and Team Robot Tech from Toulkine, Al Haouz to overcome the challenge from the tragic earthquake. Team Dreamers had one of the highest robot performance score at the country and made to the national FLL Championship. We also shared our FIRST experience with FLL team Loud and FTC team Ultron.
